Hiking for India
The PATRIZIA Italian Peaks Hiking Challenge returns for its fifth edition from 20 to 23 September 2025 – once again in support of the PATRIZIA Foundation. 60 employees, sponsors and supporters will come together for a two-day hike through the spectacular Dolomites in northern Italy.
Before lacing up their hiking boots, every participant will take on a different kind of challenge: raising funds for a cause that matters. Since the start of the initiative, the #patriziachallenge has raised more than £430,000 for projects across Peru, Cameroon, Uganda and Tanzania – all made possible through the backing of generous donors and tireless fundraisers.
In 2025, we’re setting our sights on an ambitious new goal: raising £130,000 for the PATRIZIA School Muniguda in India.

About the PATRIZIA School Muniguda
Located in Odisha – one of India’s most disadvantaged states – the PATRIZIA School Muniguda brings education to where it’s needed most. In many parts of rural India, schooling often ends at age 15. For girls in particular, this can mean early marriage and lifelong dependence, with few prospects for further study or employment.
Without senior secondary education, it becomes nearly impossible for young people to attend university or train for skilled professions – closing doors before they’ve even had a chance to dream.
Expanding opportunities
To break this cycle, the school will undergo a major expansion. Student numbers are set to increase from 600 to 1,000, and for the first time, senior secondary education (grades 11 and 12) will be offered on-site.
The development includes:
ten classrooms
three specialist science labs for biology, chemistry, and physics
a computer room
and a library
This expansion will give more children the opportunity to stay in school, finish their education, and shape their own future – while also creating lasting benefits for the wider community.

Previous Hiking Challenges
Chamonix Adventure Challenge 2024
To celebrate 40 years of PATRIZIA SE, a record number of 120 participants took part on the Chamonix Adventure Challenge. Over two days, they hiked and biked through the stunning Mont Blanc region, raising more than £180,000 to support children in Bafia, Cameroon.
The donation funded the full renovation of the old school and the construction of a modern two-storey classroom building with a library, computer room, accessible bathrooms and a wheelchair ramp.

La Isla Challenge 2023

65 PATRIZIAns and sponsors came together for the La Isla Challenge 2023 to support the PATRIZIA School Sondoveni in the Amazon region of Peru.
Over just three months, they raised about £110,000, which went towards new classrooms, housing for teachers and improved access to education for local children.
The 50km coastal hike around Mallorca marked another milestone for the #patriziachallenge.
Bavarian Peaks Challenge 2022
Covering 30 kilometres and nearly 2,000 metres of elevation, participants of the Bavarian Peaks Challenge raised approximately £110,000.
The funds supported the upgrade and expansion of the PATRIZIA Primary School Songea in Tanzania`s south.

The first-ever PATRIZIA Hiking Challenge took place in the UK, where four passionate hikers tackled 24 peaks in the Lake District.
Their efforts raised over £85,000 for the PATRIZIA School Buyamba in Uganda, supporting vital improvements including new classrooms and rainwater harvesting systems.
