7th PATRIZIA Charity Golf Cup

Jul. 2019

The charity evening at the Munich Literaturhaus, marking the 25th anniversary of the PATRIZIA Foundation, was a resounding success. Guests were treated to insights into the foundation’s history, an inspiring keynote by marketing expert Martin Lindstrøm, and heartfelt impressions from the KinderHaus projects.

Founder Wolfgang Egger opened the festive event by emphasizing the guiding principle: “Education is more than a fundamental right. It is the key to social advancement, breaking the cycle of poverty, and fostering sustainable social and economic progress.”

Despite this belief, millions of children worldwide still lack access to quality education. Wolfgang Egger shared his vision:

“Imagine what we can achieve together: a world where education is not a privilege but a right. A world where children – regardless of their background – can dream big and shape their own future. Tonight, we are not just raising funds; we are creating hope. We are shaping the future and changing lives. Thank you for being here, for your generosity, and for believing that together we can build a better future.”

Insights and moving project stories

The evening was hosted by Christoph Liedtke, Head of Communications at PATRIZIA SE, and Astrid Gabler, Chairwoman of the Board at PATRIZIA Foundation. In addition to inspiring speeches, two panel discussions offered engaging insights into the PATRIZIA KinderHaus projects and the new PRIME25 corporate network.

A particularly moving moment came during the panel featuring guests from Peramiho, Tanzania – the place where the PATRIZIA Foundation’s journey began. The first project, a children’s hospital established in collaboration with the Benedictine order, has since become a vital part of the local healthcare system. Brother Dr. Ansgar Stüfe OSB, Chief Physician Dr. Adeodatus Haule, and Head of Nursing Romanus Mgimba shared positive developments: the hospital now treats 30,000 children annually, reducing infant mortality by more than 60%. Charity Mhavile, who completed her training at the hospital and now works as a nurse, shared her story: “My training was a strong foundation for my personal and professional development. It not only gave me medical knowledge, but also responsibility and empathy.”

Empathy as a Success Factor: Martin Lindstrøm’s keynote

Another highlight was Martin Lindstrøm’s captivating keynote. As one of the world’s leading brand experts and business transformation thinkers, he emphasized the importance of empathy in an increasingly digital world, stating, “If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business.”

During his dynamic and interactive presentation, Lindstrøm made it clear that empathy is an essential part of any business strategy, no matter how well-planned or calculated.

Thanks to partners, friends and supporters

The evening concluded with a silent auction, allowing guests to bid on exclusive artworks and authentic paintings, directly supporting the PATRIZIA Foundation’s educational initiatives.

Special thanks were extended to all long-standing partners, friends, and supporters who have accompanied and encouraged the foundation throughout its 25-year journey. As Wolfgang Egger remarked, “Your commitment ensures that our projects continue to grow and be successful.”

Together, we can create lasting change and make real social progress. We look forward to continuing this journey with you!
